As Christian led the way into the Shack, Johnny thought about asking if anyone wanted something to drink, more out of habit than anything else, but they'd all just come from the overflowing cornucopia of the Carnival and if the others felt anything like he did then all they wanted to do right now was get off their feet. "That's it, keep your feet in there and hang on to the pommel nice and tight." Will circled the pony around the flags one last time and headed back. To his immense relief, his replacement was there ready to take over and, damn, were his feet and ears grateful! Not to mention his stomach. He handed over the reins and wandered over to the hay bale to retrieve the lunch he'd left in a paper bag earlier. Salvation in hand, he looked around for Christian and spotted him a few feet away, chatting to a newly-arrived Johnny. Joining them, he waved the paper bag around. "Need. food." he gasped. "Going. To. Expire."

Johnny grinned over at the approaching Will and said to Christian, ( ''We should probably take off, then. I don't think your da'd be very happy if we let your new step-mum expire from starvation.'' )

"Great minds think alike!" Will called out as he rounded the corner to Angel's room and spotted Guy, hand in the air and ready to knock. Shifting the bunch of flowers he was carrying to his other hand, he put an arm around Guy's shoulder and said, "Long time, little see, mate. How are ya?"

Will knocked on the Shack door like the nice, polite lad that he was. Not. Then he shoved it open and stepped inside, meeting Christian halfway down the hall on his way to answer the summons. "Evenin' pardner," Will said with a laconic nod, head down.

Christian opened his arms wide. "Pappa!" He looked Will up and down. "They fit!" He grinned, admiring the leather trousers he and Johnny had given Will for his birthday as a match for that disgusting jacket of his. "Oh boy do they fit. Come on in."

( Will followed Christian back into the living room and then twirled on the spot, giving Johnny a wink. )

The morning after this.

"Alone at last." Marton gave Will a filthy wink and dived toward his stomach, intent on blowing a raspberry.

Marton managed to get the door open without help, despite his arms being full and the load somewhat unstable. With a sigh of relief he deposited his burden on the bed and then went into the bathroom to shower and get the silly string out of his hair.

“So what’s it like?” Christian looked over at his father who was leaning on his desk reading the status report on Esea. ( Read more... )

“So, yeah. I might understand him a little better, but I still don’t like him.” Will sat cross-legged in the centre of their bed, scratching idly at his bare chest, the magazine he’d been flipping through before Marton had come in, spread out across his feet.

The hallway was pretty busy but mostly with folk coming off the lifts and heading in the opposite direction from Will. It meant he had to step aside, stop, push through and wait a bit, but he didn't mind. Not like he was in any hurry, anyway. He strolled along toward the lifts with his hands in his pockets and a cheerful smile on his face. Another lazy morning, spent stirring his coffee on the Coffee Shoppe patio was over and it really was about time he thought about going back to work. But not today; today was for doing nothing.

There was something different about Marton. Not bad different, just a change, a shift in attitude that Will couldn’t quite put his finger on. But he suspected he knew what it was, or at least what had caused it. Maybe. He wasn’t stupid after all, reading body language was part of his job and ever since the night Marton had been out with the boys, come home with the incipient black eye that had blossomed into a real classic of it’s type, he’d been noting the differences.

A quick trip up to his room for boots and socks and Will was off out into the garden in search of distraction. While he might have told Liam that he had some sorting out to do, he did not mean right now and in fact he'd figured he'd save the heavy stuff for after the vacation.

Johnny waved through the window at Stan, the guy on the gate, before remembering that the glass was tinted black from the outside. He blushed and slumped down in his seat, hoping Christian hadn't noticed, but unfortunately Christian's attention had been firmly on him for the last hour. Usually he thought that was wonderful, but his lover's twinkling eyes just made him blush harder. At least Lawrence and Jet were up front with the driver, and Obie didn't care.

"Hey," he whispered, for no particular reason, "we'll be there in a minute. We should probably at least finish getting dressed."

Christian finished tucking himself in and zipping up and looked at Johnny with pretended amazement. ( ''I AM dressed.'' he told him. ''What's keeping you?'' )

Private Journal Entry.

Finally looks like I can stop writing in this thing for a while. Which is timely because I’ve run out of filler. Can only transcribe my laundry receipt so many times fore I start dreaming of starch, no?

Harry yawned as he walked down the hall to the lifts, threading his hand through his hair and scowling as his fingers tangled, still unused to the fact that he actually had to brush it in the mornings now that it was this length again. "The sacrifices we make for a pair of brown eyes and a pout," Harry mumbled, noticing absently that someone else was already waiting at the lifts.

Marton sat with his back against the bedpost, knees drawn up and parted and Will, lying with his head against Marton’s shoulder, resting between them. Will was very subdued, lying passively in his arms, had been that way the last few days. But he understood why and Will would soon bounce back; he always did.

Follows on from this.

Will was gone, headed off not long ago to meet Christian for their usual morning routine, Marton walked around Palace, picking up his discarded clothing and putting bits of it on in a distracted fashion. His mind was full of flashing snippets of memory from the previous night; quick, random and erotic snapshots.( Read more... )

“But you’ve never been with anyone else from downstairs. Never booked a . . . wait. If it’s only Sean and me, have you ever even fucked more than one person at a time? Like a three-way or something?”

Marton smiled and again shook his head. “Nope.”

“Oh dear God!” Will rolled his eyes. “That settles it. We’re fixing this, soon as we get home!”

“You’ll ruin my reputation.” Marton commented mildly, not at all bothered as he once would have been.

“Good!” Will shot back. “It could use some ruination.”
